Set up 4 decades ago by Shri R.T Varghese, a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Kharaghpur, Forms & Gears is synonymous with precision fixtures solutions that are used by the worlds leading machine tool and automobile manufacturers.
Mr. Reji Varghese, Designated Partner now heads Forms & Gears in partnership with ASM Technologies Ltd, a public limited company engaged in the business of Engineering Services, Product R&D and Digital Transformation. Headquartered in Bangalore, with offices across Singapore, USA, Mexico, UK and Canada; ASM Technologies Ltd adds the next generation technologies with its global reach that further strengthens Forms and Gears. With Clients across Industrial segments like Automotive OEM, Tractor OEM, Commercial Vehicles OEM, Generator Manufacturers, Engine Testing Companies and other special purpose machines to name a few. With in-house capabilities of delivering the complete product from concept to prove out at the customer’s site.
Newer technologies are being implemented to match the next generation of accuracy by adopting Industry 4.0, which is brought by the expertise of ASM Technologies Ltd.. Forms & Gears with more than 2000 concept drawings, 400 3D detailed Designs, presence in over 4 continents and 45 years of rich experience, boasts of delivering any requirement of fixture solution to its clients across the globe.

Forms and Gears was started in 1972 by R.T Varghese, a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur.
Our journey started before the advent of machining centre fixtures in India. We were a full fledged tool room design and tool room items like press tools, manufacturing drill jigs, inspection and receiver gauges. With the advent of machining centres in India, Forms & Gears became the pioneers of machining centre fixtures in the country. The world’s leading machine tool and auto makers started sourcing fixtures for their requirements world-wide.
Our Milestones
1977
R.T Varghese on the advisory board of NDDB for indegenization of machinery like Milk Vending Machines
1977
Developed SPM for Pelletizing Cattle Feed to all the milk producing unions across the country.
1982
Developed Mechanical Fixtures for Drill Jigs and Milling Fixtures for Ashok Leyland, India
1987
Developed averaging fixture for all types of Cylinder Blocks and Cylinder Heads for Ennore Foundaries, India
1997
Developed high pressure hydraulically fixtures for the Heller Line to machine Indica Cylinder blocks for the TATA Motors, India.
2002
Developed and manufacture of hydraulic fixtures for MAKINOS newly established facility at Whitefield, Bangalore, India
2005
Developed cabin Welding Fixtures for Czech truck manufacturer TATRA’s plant in India. Size: 3x3x3m
2007
Developed hydraulic fixtures for Cylinder block component for JTEK TOYODA line at Kirloskar Oil Engines, Kagal, India
2009
Developed 5 Meter Machining fixtures for CATERPILLAR on TOSHIBA machines. Proved out in JAPAN.
2010
Developed hydraulic fixtures for Cylinder block for ASHOK LEYLAND - NISSAN LCV on MAG machines, proved out at MAG, GERMANY. Mag India’s first turnkey in India using indigenous fixtures.
2010
Developed 3 meter Dipper and Boom fixtures for John Deere / Ashok Leyland on MAZAK Machines.
2012
Developed large size 8, 6, 12 and 16 cylinder block fixtures for PERKINS, Aurangabad, India
2014
Developed fixtures for German textile machinery component maker Truetzschler, India
2017
Developed 10 Meter long Beam Fixture for Swiss Packaging Company, BOBST on MAG Machine. Trials at Jobs, Italy.
2018
Developed Fixtures for the new generation of cylinder blocks and transmission case for International Tractors / Sonalika
2018
Developing the world’s first intelligent fixtures that can monitor pressure drop, vibration, temperature etc and other parameters and along with Data Analytics and Engineering Services.
