Design Capabilities

Forms and Gears has designed a wide variety of fixtures for components for the auto industry, tractor industry, power sector and textile machinery. We are specilaists in cylinder block and cylinder head machining fixtures which require very close tolerances and specialized designs for each variety of block and head fixtures. These have been designed and manufactured for numerous customers all over India and abroad.

ASM Technologies Ltd has a stong design team with over 650 engineers.

The fine art of Hand Scraping

To get very fine geometrically accurate flat surfaces, hand scraping is used. Hand scraping is an art that can be done only by very skilled and highly experienced workmen. Scraping involves using a flat scraper, which is a hand tool with a flat edge, to remove very small amounts of metal from a surface. The Roughness Average Ra achieved during hand scraping is in microns. Machine beds are often hand scraped to achieve the desired flatness. All the fixture bases manufactured by RV Forms and Gears are hand scraped. The worlds best machine tool makers still use scraping.

In-House & On-site Prove Out

A dedicated team of application engineers are available for prove out of the Fixture anywhere in the world. The In-House Fixture Prove Out can be done on our in-house horizontal and vertical Mazak machining centers.
